Yay! It's finally time for this month's "5 Random Things" Post! We are a week late due to New Year's Day being last Tuesday so hopefully more of you will be linking up today!
Ok, here are my 5 random things:
1. Chris went back to work yesterday. Womp. Womp. I don't know who's more depressed about it, Luke or myself. Wait, yes I do know. It's me. Totally me. He was off all of last week and we didn't get to do half of the fun things we had planned because of the plague that hit our house but oh well. We were together and that's all that matters!
2. Speaking of together, exactly 6 years ago yesterday, Chris called me up to ask me out on our first date. It was during the BCS championship game (college football for those that don't know). Which if you know Chris, is a BIG deal. I can't even get him off the couch during an important football game. What prompted him to call a girl he had never met DURING the game still baffles me. #miracle Our first date was a total blind date - we were set-up by his sister. One of these days I will get to telling our love story on here. It's a good one!

3. I bought these at Target this morning and I kind of can't stop eating them. I also just realized that my last 5 Random Things post included a snack from Target I couldn't put down. #creatureofhabit

4. I couldn't wait to get my Christmas decor down... like I took it down the day after Christmas. #likeabandaid #justripitoff But now I can't help but feel a little depressed. My house always looks so plain after a month full of Christmas decorations as far as the eye can see.
5. And now that Christmas is over and it is January, I am in party prep mode again. Luke turns 2 in April and while that seems like far away, it's not. It sneaks up on you! I have vague ideas that are starting to come together and I am so thankful for new "secret" Pinterest boards so everyone can still be surprised when they get the invitation and see the theme we picked! We as in me, because we all know this will probably be the last year I get a say as to what the birthday party theme is. I see licensed character plates in our future. Because my 3 year old sure isn't going to know what "chevron" or "ombre" is.

My husband and I were both off work together for a week and half and had so much fun...it was a hard transition last week! We celebrate 9 years since our first date on the 27th! ...on another note, thanks for the linky...I have a goal of blogging consistently in 2013, and 5 Random Things will definitely be on my blogging calendar each month!
