Friday Fun Facts: T2 13 Weeks

One more week in the 1st trimester...so close yet so far away. For the record, I stopped the Progesterone supplements last Friday and after a fairly decent weekend, I was back to my sick self this week. 7 weeks now of straight nasty and I am so ready to be done. I can't even tell you how much I want to enjoy eating again...

There still really is no bump yet. Which makes me laugh considering I started taking pics with this baby at 10 weeks and we have yet to see anything. Clearly 10 weeks was just bloat. I am in maternity jeans today so that is why there is a little pooch - courtesy of my elastic waist band. I still fit into my regular jeans just fine... as long as the button is undone! I keep waiting to wake up one morning with a bump. It's coming... I know it!

Size of baby: Baby T2 is now the size of a peach.

Major Developmental Milestones: Baby is developing little teeth and vocal cords. Fingerprints have formed on baby's tiny fingertips, veins and organs are clearly visible through still-thin skin, and baby’s body is starting to catch up with his/her head — which makes up just a third of body size now.

Gender: I still think girl solely based on the fact that I'm still sick even off the supplements. I was no where near this bad with Luke so something is definitely different.

Food Cravings: Food is still generally unappealing at this point. Although I did drive myself to the grocery store two nights ago so I could buy a chocolate chip muffin for dinner. Yes, I ate a muffin for dinner. And I've replaced my 9:30am bagel with a chocolate chip muffin. Other than the muffin, my desire for sweets is still MIA. Oh how I wish it would come back...

Best Moment this week: I was so thankful I was actually able to enjoy Disneyland on Sunday with the family. And that food tasted good for the first (and sadly last) time in forever.

What I am looking forward to: We have our monthly doctor's appointment next Thursday and I am so excited to hear baby's heartbeat. I will be one day shy of 14 weeks, so we will definitely hear it via doppler. We heard Luke's at 12 weeks so this extra 2 weeks is kinda killing me. It really is the best sound in the world!

Have you tried Ginger? The Ginger People make these ginger candies and they helped me soo much, other than preggy pop drops. Just keep thinking that its so worth it in the end :)
